I love affirmations and I love challenges. Since giving my life to Jesus I have scoured the Bible for affirmations of God's Love and Truth that we can back up in scripture. Positive affirmations helped me when I was in the New Age community, however it is important not to let affirmations increase your ego or idolize yourself above God, our Creator.
