Books to Expand Your Mind

Welcome to My (New Age) Books

As I delved into the New Age/Spirituality and Personal Growth movements from 2008-2018, I wrote four books in an attempt to share what I learned with the world. Most books are personal accounts of learning how to live in the now and love my body as I was designed. One book is strictly about New-Age Beliefs.

As of July 2024 Liz no longer believes in the New Age and has given her life to Jesus

“Thank You Yesterday and So Long Tomorrow: A Guide for Living in the Now” details the process of conscious thought where one becomes mindful of their thoughts in order to assist with letting go of the past by appreciating it, and letting go of worrying about the future by overcoming our fears.

This book takes a mindfulness approach to the process of thought and emotion, focusing on taking one’s power back in order to live more peacefully in this moment, or what we call the “Now.”

“The Human Experience: Life as We (Don’t Really) Know It” details the journey of the human being in the holographic matrix we call reality as soul contracts are fulfilled and the human condition is transcended through experiences.

We can become conscious creators of our individual realities once we realize we have the power to do so. We can learn to navigate the matrix and the energies of the universe to achieve our goals, both on a human level and on a soul level. Use this book as a tool to assist your journey by choosing your experiences and playing the game of life to its fullest.

"The Fuzzy Leg Experiment: How I Grew to Love Myself in Two Years" details a two-year journey into self-discovery as I stopped shaving my legs, stopped wearing a bra, went without makeup, and wore sweatpants everywhere I went (among other things) in order to figure out why I cared so much about what other people thought of me and to help get over my fears.

By going deep into discomfort, I discovered what it truly means to love oneself and I offer strategies for everyone to get there too without having to do it this way.

We all need a reminder about how awesome we are sometimes. Loving ourselves is our best gift we can give the world by showing everyone how to do it.

After nine and a half years in a relationship, I realized that my boyfriend was never going to be the romantic, love-note kind of guy, and I needed to stop waiting for him to read my mind. I also started reading a lot of personal growth books on “giving yourself what you're missing” and wanted to test this out in my own life. I was missing the intimacy and connection of little love notes in my life and so I decided to write everything I've ever wanted to hear on little cards and put them in a fancy wooden box with the words “Open in case of Forgetting” on the lid. These notes reminded me to change my thoughts about myself, take better care of myself, and to love myself more and more each day.

Love Notes to Self: Open in Case of Forgetting (PREVIEW)
We all need a reminder about how awesome we are sometimes. Loving ourselves is our best gift we can give the world by showing everyone how to do it.

If there is one major thing I've learned on my journey of self-love, it's that you already are what you think is missing in your life. If you feel like you need love, love yourself first. If you feel like you need peace and understanding, give yourself the compassion you deserve. If you've been craving intimacy and connection then you can even give that to yourself. You are more powerful than you think you are and you can give yourself the love you know you deserve. I gave myself what I thought was missing with these little love-notes-to-self that changed my life, and I want to share them with you.

The ABCs of Worthiness: Affirmations for Positive Living
This 14-page mini-eBook is a result of a powerful self-reflection session where I discovered that I had been self-sabotaging every good thing that had happened to me for the past twenty-some years. Why would anyone do this to themselves? Because I lacked the self-worth to realize that I deserved those good things.

The ABCs of Worthiness is a list of affirmations and reminders to assist the mind’s re-programming into believing we are worthy again….worthy of love, respect, happiness and worthy of all good things from everyone around us and the universe itself. If any of these affirmations make you feel uneasy, or you find that they are difficult to say out loud, then this tells you where you do not yet hold the belief inside where you believe you are worthy of that.
