I feel like I've been stuck in the mud creatively for a few months now but I understand why. I've been putting all of my energy into "finding a job" and now that I have two jobs working 68 hours a week all of my energy is tied up into "working a job" (or two). The more I step back and remember what I really want to do the more I feel the muddy sludge blocks crumble around me. I am "feeling" like doing creative projects again so look out world!
For everyone going through a creative slump, it's perfectly okay! As they say there is a time for everything. I needed my bills paid and the universe brought me work that I asked for while I get over my fears to share what I really want to share with the world. I have new books planned. I have the final two coloring books going now (never say never but I have no more ideas after these two for the forseeable future). I have videos to create and a YouTube channel to start. And I even have a clothing line idea.... When you stop giving yourself a hard time for not being creative and "give up" in a sense, the creativity flows more... funny how that works. So lots of changes in the works behind-the-scenes here. I don't know when these changes will pop into reality but this year is about to get crazy good for me... I can feel it. I am excited to share new stuff with you all. Thank you for going on this journey with me. Much Love, Elizabeth

There is a time for everything and it's good to remember that we are on our own timeline. And yet... We all want to be butterflies. There are plenty of butterflies out there showing us how to fly or attempting to teach us how to fly...and yet we, the caterpillars, don't have wings yet. It can be frustrating to read book after book, blog after blog, and watch every video on how to thrive as a butterfly when you're still a caterpillar. Getting okay with where you are in your journey is the essence of happiness. It's good to want more, and it's even better to work towards what you want...but also be okay with where you are right now. Caterpillars are essential to life. Butterflies wouldn't be butterflies without being caterpillars first. Go through the stages of life with grace and know that you are destined to have your wings when you are ready. Embrace your caterpillarness. Embrace this time to grow into the person you were always meant to be. You are on your own time. Enjoy being who you are right now and appreciate the timelines of others. No one is behind. No one is ahead. Everyone is exactly where they need to be. I love you, Elizabeth |
