Experts in health and fitness say to start your day off right with a good breakfast, proper hygiene and a little exercise…the physical stuff. But what about the mental stuff? The human mind is an incredibly powerful computer system, and we can use this power to our advantage with simple programming techniques. If you only got two hours of sleep and feel like it wasn’t enough, say “wow, what an amazing night’s sleep. I have so much energy today,” and see what happens. Your brain will go, “oh, we have energy today, so let’s get going!” The mind doesn’t discern between truth and untruth, it only knows what you tell it, and it absorbs every bit of data in equal measure. Depending on which expert you talk to, it takes anywhere from 10 to 30 days to wire in a new habit. There is something called the Ten Principle, where if you take the sugar out of your coffee for ten days you won’t miss it, or if you give a child a new food, after ten days they’ll learn to like it. And other studies show that it takes an entire month to change a habit. Well, you have ten days. You have thirty days. Use your personal power to commit yourself to a new habit by doing one simple task: anchoring in a new belief by introducing it into your field of vision. The mind believes what it sees and experiences most often. Change the patterns in your mind by making positive things familiar through what you see and what you tell yourself every day. Your mind has its job to do (and it does it quite well by the way), and your job is to choose what to tell your mind every day. You can think different. You can believe different. We all have the power to make a new choice, to believe a new belief. Become conscious of the words you use every day because words have power. Become conscious of the choices you make in using that power. Use words to empower, not disempower. Become responsible for what you say, do, think, and believe. You have the power to change your life. The goal of this coloring book is to make positive, constructive habits familiar. We can reject what isn’t familiar in our lives, even love and money. But you can make these things familiar by working to change your habits, or the automatic responses and beliefs you have about yourself and the way the world works. Your mind does what it thinks you want it to do. Start telling your mind to do extraordinary things. Start telling your mind that you are extraordinary. The mind listens to the language you use. It listens to your feelings. It doesn’t care if what you tell it is right or wrong, good or bad. Seeing positive words and images influences positive thoughts, and thus positive beliefs and positive actions. You are what you believe. And you can change your beliefs. You can change your habits of action. Communicate with yourself and give yourself better messages. Your mind supports you in everything that you do. Your mind understands you. Work with your mind to create the life you really want.
