Change is Exciting! A Coloring Book for Welcoming Change

Intro:
I didn’t cope well with change as I grew up. As I look back on my life, I realized I didn’t have a good support system in place to react well to change. Change used to be exciting as a child...until one day all of the changes I couldn’t deal with became something I feared...something I hated. I turned Change into the enemy. I believed Change to be the source of all my problems. Before “change” I was one person, one happy kid, and then after I was different. Life didn’t make sense any more, so I stopped trying so hard to welcome change into my life.

I bottled away my love for change so I wouldn’t get hurt any more. But looking back on my life after 23 years I wonder where the joy in life went. Where did the child who basked in change go? Where did the child who loved change go? I decided to find the real me...the one buried deep under a pile of fear, somewhere in the box I made to protect myself against change. And that is where this coloring book comes in.

I started writing out all of the affirmations that I wanted to believe about change….and they were all pretty much opposite to my beliefs about it at the time. I wanted to love change again. I wanted to appreciate change again. I realized change didn’t have to be bad. I realized change didn’t have to be something I dreaded every day. Change happens, right? In all my research about changing our thoughts and beliefs, I knew I could change how I felt about Change.
